In Race to the North Pole each player has an expedition team that they must reach to the North Pole in the center of the board. The first player to get all of his pawns wins the game. The game is played by moving with the cards that are in front of you. Some cards allow movement while others can also ambush other players. But an ambush has a price! Every time you face another player you have to take an "ice mask tile", which includes equipment and some dangerous hazards that could ruin your well-planned schemes.

Race to the North Pole also features a unique rotary table that simulates arctic weather. When a storm hits the board, everything changes! Your movement cards travel around the board and you get a new set, the arctic labyrinth formed by the cracks changes completely and the players travel around the board over time. This design has deep strategic elements that make every match exciting and challenging until the end.
