Since time immemorial, the mines of Runedar have supplied countless generations of dwarves with gold.
By accident, your small group of dwarves who have remained guarding the fortress have found a new gold deposit.
Just when you were about to take the gold to the nearest stronghold, you discovered that the fortress is surrounded by a host of orcs willing to do anything to get their hands on the gold. You must hold them back long enough to dig a tunnel under the mountain, escape the siege and bring the gold to safety.
The Siege of Runedar is a cooperative game, where together you will have to defeat goblins, ochi and trolls. The box acts as a fortress with rooms, walls and towers that you will have to defend against invasion.
Players take turns playing cards from their hand; these contain both the characteristics of their dwarf and orcs! After playing the orc cards, players can use the remaining ones to move, work resources, attack, tunnel to escape, and upgrade tool/weapon cards.
But beware! The siege tower carries trolls and the catapult destroys one of your gold nuggets or a tool/weapon you want to improve.
Will you be able to dig the tunnel and save the gold before the enemies have occupied the fortress or have you lost all the gold?
