RPG elements and puzzle fun come together in Puzzle & Dragons Z + Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition, available exclusively for Nintendo 3DS family systems. With a single package that includes both games, the player will be able to explore dungeons, control monsters and defeat hordes of enemies in Puzzle & Dragons Z or travel to the Mushroom Kingdom to rescue Peach in Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition.

Puzzle & Dragons Z is set in the land of Dracomacia, where the player begins his adventure as a new dragon tamer, one of the few people capable of controlling monsters using the energy of the spheres.
After joining the Rangers, an organization specializing in dragon research, there's hardly time to breathe as a new force called Paradox takes control of the five flying dragons, wreaking havoc in Dracomacia! So it's up to the player to save the flying dragons, to restore peace to the world!

In this adventure the player must explore dark dungeons, choosing the path to follow at each crossroads. In this journey the player will meet an infinite number of enemies, to fight with a team of six monsters, combining three or more spheres of the same type, each associated with an element: fire, wood, water, dark and light. Strategy is everything: fire beats wood, wood beats water, water beats fire, dark and light cancel each other out, allowing you to boost damage dealt to enemies or resist more intense attacks. As the remaining orbs move to new spaces, combos can be activated for chain attacks that increase destructive power. Also, aligning the Heart Orbs restores energy, while the shiny Z Orbs triple the damage dealt. To defeat the boss that looms at the end of each dungeon, however, you need to be very skilled in moving and aligning all types of spheres!

The game offers over 200 types of enemies to recruit to your team, including dragons, knights, and even demons. Each has different stats of energy, offensive power, and resilience, and one of several combat abilities, such as special moves, defensive boosts, and status changes. You can improve the level of your monsters with experience points earned during battles and use Chips dropped by enemies to evolve, i.e. make monsters stronger. Furthermore, by collecting enemies' eggs after battles, it is possible to hatch new monsters.

The second game included in the pack, Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition, brings the action to the Mushroom Kingdom, which the heroes travel in an attempt to save Peach and stop Bowser's mischief! The player is then called to travel through eight worlds of the Mushroom Kingdom, each with various levels, also trying their hand at colorful puzzles, and meeting Yoshi, Toad and other beloved characters. There are tons of secret levels, items and coins to collect, and new allies to recruit with blocks after battles. And if you fail to make it through a battle, the helpful Continue option can help you achieve your goals!

In both games, you can exchange your Tamer Card (in Puzzle & Dragons Z) or Player Card (in Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition) with other players via StreetPass or local wireless. Thus it becomes possible to use another player's squad leader as a helper in the game. Puzzle & Dragons Z also includes lots of extra content, such as special dungeons where rare monsters reside and new sidekicks to download!
