Grades can be considered as the difficulty level of Gunpla, established based on dimensions and construction difficulty.

High Grade: High Grade (HG) model kits don't have many details and are simple and quick to assemble, making them suitable for beginners. High Grade Universal Century (HGUC) kits are HG kits focused on the Universal Century. They offer quality, details, and a wide variety.

Real Grade: Even Real Grade (RG) kits are recommended for beginners; however, unlike HG kits, they have many more details, pieces, and better quality.

Master Grade: In Master Grade (MG) models, the colors are more faithful to the originals and have fewer stickers, which are usually used to add missing details to the model.

Perfect Grade: Perfect Grade (PG) kits are every Gunpla collector's dream; they are close to perfection. In addition to being of significant size, they have incredible details and require the time and patience of an experienced enthusiast.

Super Deformed: The Gundam Super Deformed (SD) series offers model kits with enhanced details and special gimmicks. Lines like BB Senshi, SD EX-STANDARD, and SD CROSS SILOUHETTE include SD conversions of animated units. Other thematic series include SD Sengokuden, BB Senshi Sangokuden, and World Heroes, which involve historical Western characters.

Entry Grade: Gundam Entry Grade (EG) is the new line of introductory model kits. Without glue, colors, or clippers, they are ideal for beginners. Easy to assemble, they offer a hassle-free entry into the world of model kits, opening the doors to an exciting experience.

Full Mechanics: Gundam Full Mechanics 1/100, the GUNPLA line of 2021, offers models with internal skeletons and high-quality details. It features non-Universal Century units like SEED and The Witch from Mercury.
