The lands west of Eriador have enjoyed long years of peace under the watchful eye of the rangers of the North. Yet no tomb can contain the forces of Angmar who lurk in wild and ancient places, and who strain the valiant Dúnedain in their task of protecting the land.

Neither The Awakening of Angmar, 1 to 4 players will join forces with the Dúnedain to defend Eriador and investigate the source of the evil that haunts those lands. Over the course of nine scenarios, which can also be played sequentially as one complete campaign, they will have to face orcs, trolls, spectres and a cunning evil lord who masters dark sorcery.
